"Teacher DJ" is in the process of creating a unit called, "Animal Adventures." It will have several lessons which will each function as a 25 to 30 minute assembly. The first lesson which he wants to present during the 2019-2020 school year is called, "Buddy The Funny Bear."
During each assembly presentation, students will be engaged with singing exercises which practice different aspects of the reading content in the story. For example, they will be encouraged to do the following in connection with multimedia on the projector screen and in the form of hand-held resources: (1) practice reading/singing words, (2) practice reading/singing phrases, (3) practice reading/singing sentences as they read the entire song!
The three videos below represent each of these three experiences which students will have during an assembly presentation. MAC is in the process of preparing to record this story-song professionally so that parents and teachers can assist their K-2 children/students with on-demand opportunities to listen to and sing along with the story-song which they will hear during a MAC assembly! Of course, students can do all of this in connection with reading "Buddy The Funny Bear," which can be downloaded as a pdf.
