INSTRUCTIONS for using the resources at Michigan Assemblies .Com are found below. Contact MAC if you need help, have suggestions for helping us improve our on-demand assembly resources or would like to book a live real-time virtual assembly.
Tier 01 Step(s):
Tier 02 Step(s):
Tier 03 Step(s):
Tier 04 Step(s):
Tier 05 Step(s):
- Choose which video or sets of videos are to be presented by selecting the UNIT COURSES tab on the home page and then the desired link(s) in order to choose which lesson(s) students are to view through on demand resources.
- You also have the option of booking real-time virtual assemblies through Skype; in this case, Mr. Egan will speak directly to your students on any character education lesson(s) that you choose.
Tier 02 Step(s):
- A location must be determined based on how many students will be in attendance for the virtual assembly (e.g. a classroom, gymnasium/auditorium or PC/iPad for individual students in a 1:1 context).
Tier 03 Step(s):
- The video content must be tested ahead of time to make sure that all software and hardware is functioning properly; it is imperative that the audio/video equipment works in such a way that every student viewing the content can see and hear clearly.
- Activator questions and activities can be printed or streamed from the cloud as a way to prepare students for the actual virtual assemblies.
Tier 04 Step(s):
- A teacher, administrator or parent must determine when the video or set of videos will be viewed by the student(s).
Tier 05 Step(s):
- After the multimedia content within video(s) has been viewed by students, choose the follow-up activities and assessments for them to be engaged with, which are located under the videos on each page of the MAC website. Also, enthusiastic students who are interested can engage with an optional service learning project.
- Also, the teachers have the freedom to engage students with collaborative projects after the virtual assembly experiences. Teachers can also book a real-time virtual assembly with Mr. Egan using Skype; this will serve as a follow up to what students learned through viewing the multimedia content and can clarify thoughts and concerns with Mr. Egan in real-time!
