MAC CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

MAC CREATES ITS OWN CURRICULUM THROUGH ELA STANDARDS

The MAC administrative team, under the leadership of "Teacher DJ", is currently in the early stages of developing a thorough curriculum based on Grade 1 ELA standards. Each lesson, within each unit, will draw from the list of national vocabulary words (and other lists) for grade 1 students in conjunction with multimedia resources which, together with the music, will engage students during each MAC assembly experience.

Furthermore, because the lessons are based off of grade 1 standards, our K-2 assemblies, by design, have the potential to remediate second graders while enriching kindergartners.

Finally, the following is an example of how our lessons are designed to progress so that students practice singing simple to more complex aspects of ELA content:
